Physics Teacher & WRO Mentor (BSM)
Head of Year and Physics Teacher with over three years leading the robotics club at BSM. He has supported student teams in competitions such as the World Robot Olympiad (WRO), alongside building a strong culture of problem-solving and practical learning.
He focuses on developing solid foundations in physics through hands-on application, integrating design, coding, and analytical thinking into his teaching. His work has contributed to increased student uptake in Physics and consistent improvement in A-level results.
Known for his approachable and thoughtful teaching style, he is committed to broadening access to STEM education and strengthening meaningful engagement in robotics across Oman.
National Organizer of WRO in Oman
A robotics educator and mentor with over 17 years of experience, he is National Organizer of World Robot Olympiad (WRO) in Oman, and the Education Specialist at WRO. He has played a key role in developing robotics education nationally and is the founder of Roboticktick, as well as being a part of WRO Learn, an online learning platform designed to teach students robotics in a structured way.
He has mentored numerous WRO teams, guiding students from beginner level to international competition, with a strong focus on design, programming, and problem-solving.
Computer Science Teacher & VEX Club Lead (BSM)
A Computer Science educator with over 25 years of experience, he has led robotics clubs across three international schools, working with platforms such as LEGO Mindstorms, VEX IQ, and VEX V5, and supporting student teams in competitive robotics events.
He has designed and delivered structured robotics and physical computing programmes within schools, incorporating technologies such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and Micro:bit to connect computational thinking with real-world applications. His work enables students to progress from foundational skills to competition-level performance.
He has also contributed to whole-school STEAM initiatives, including organising STEAM days that promote interdisciplinary learning. Known for his structured and supportive teaching style, he is committed to fostering creativity, resilience, and deeper engagement in robotics and emerging technologies.
Oman WRO Winner 2025
Arnav Jaykrishnan is a passionate and driven student with a strong interest in robotics. He was the World Robotics Olympiad (WRO) National Winner in Oman and represented the country at the International WRO Finals in Singapore in 2025, earning a Bronze certificate.
He has developed technical expertise in Arduino IDE for programming Arduino Uno-based hardware, along with hands-on experience using the Matrix Controller and Matrix Block software. Arnav’s practical skills include building complex robotic systems such as biped robots, robotic arms, hexapods, and line-following robots. He has also worked on advanced mechanical designs, including robots with rack-and-pinion mechanisms and claw-based systems for the WRO 2025 Senior Robo Mission competition.
His dedication to learning robotics is further demonstrated by certifications including:
Oman WRO Winner 2025
He is a robotics and programming mentor with a strong background in competitive innovation and coding. He achieved 2nd place in the creativity category at the PishRobot 2018 competition and ranked 12th in the 2022 Scratch Coding Competition within his age category. In 2025, his team secured 1st place nationally at the WRO Olympiad.
He specializes primarily in C# programming but has a general understanding of other languages, allowing him to provide support to students across a variety of coding challenges.
